Town of Rhodhiss, NC Requests Expressions of Interest for Old Glory Mill Redevelopment Opportunity

The Town of Rhodhiss, a vibrant community that sits in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina near Hickory, is seeking responses to a Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the future ownership and redevelopment of two properties located along the Catawba River. The redevelopment will support the town’s vision of a robust and active village center, providing park space and recreational amenities along with residential and retail options to the town. Vita Nuova is administering this EOI process on behalf of the town.

The two available properties include the Old Glory Mill, a 151,000 square foot former textile mill, located on a 12-acre parcel on the south side of the Catawba River and a 5-acre vacant parcel located on the north side of the Catawba River. The town is seeking to create a vibrant and active town center through the redevelopment of these two properties. Although the town has a strong vision for redevelopment, development teams are welcome to bring their ideas and creativity to the site to bring the town’s vision to life.
