Neil W. Pariser is a Senior Development Consultant with Vita Nuova, bringing decades of economic development experience to the Vita Nuova team.
Mr. Pariser is the former Senior Vice President of the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (SoBRO). During his 30 years of service at SoBRO, Mr. Pariser directed the planning, acquisition, financing and construction of over 30,000 square feet of retail space and 120,000 square feet of industrial space; oversaw the financing and development of 500 units of affordable housing in the South Bronx; Supervised the planning, financing and implementation of ten commercial revitalization projects aimed at improving the attractiveness and economic viability of South Bronx commercial areas; Led the formation of the Bronx’s first Business Improvement District, which is located in the HUB retail community.
Mr. Pariser is the founder of the Port Morris Local Development Corporation, a membership organization of over 150 businesses located in the New York State Economic Development and Federal Empowerment Zones, the President of CREDIT, Inc., SOBRO’s financial arm and is Vice Chair of the New York City Brownfield Partnership.
Mr. Pariser also serves as Vice President on the New York City Brownfield Partnership. The Partnership is an organization that promotes leadership to the Brownfield Community throughout New York City by serving as the primary source for information on Brownfields and Brownfield redevelopment (www.brownfieldnyc.org).
Mr. Pariser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University and a Master of Urban Planning and Public Administration, also from New York University.
